New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush has had a very inconsistent beginning to his NFL career. After wowing fans at USC everyone expected Bush to become the next great running back. Bush was selected 2nd overall by the New Orleans Saints and was in line to become the franchise savior. Bush set a rookie record for receptions by a running back and help led his team to the NFC Championship Game. During his rookie year Bush rarely ran between the tackles and coach Sean Payton used Bush on "gadget" plays, because he knew his skill set was different than your typical back. After his rookie season Bush was a huge disappointment and not living up to the hype that he had came into the NFL with. It was obvious that Bush was a better receiver and return man than a prototypical running back. His off the field scrutiny became more recognizable than his play on the field, which is a problem when you are not living up to the lofty expectations on the field. This past season he had mediocre stats and played 2nd fiddle to the other stars on the Saints powerful offense. As of late Bush has been a man possessed on the field. Is finally ready to silence his critics on the games biggest stage? I won't say he will silence all of his critics he still needs major work and he is yet to run for 1000 yds in a season. We will find out which Reggie Bush will show up on Super Bowl Sunday. P.S. Leave Kim at home and focus on the task at hand.
